Dubai Creative Cluster Authority (DCCA) was established in 2000 with the aim of making Dubai a global hub for knowledge-based businesses. It is responsible for managing and regulating seven of the nine free zones in Dubai, which cover a range of industries such as media, IT, fashion, movie and production, science and technology, and more.
The DCCA’s mandate is to create an environment that fosters creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and to provide businesses with the support and infrastructure they need to succeed. This includes developing and enforcing laws and regulations that are in line with international standards, as well as providing a range of services and facilities to help businesses establish and grow in the free zones.
Today, over 4,500 companies are operating in the DCCA-managed free zones, employing close to 70,000 people. The free zones have become an important part of Dubai’s economy drives growth and innovation in a range of industries and helps to establish the city as a global center for knowledge-based businesses.
